We’re partners for change

For more than 30 years, Choices Counseling and Coaching has been helping individuals, couples and families create a brighter tomorrow for themselves by consciously choosing positive change and growth through the choices they make.

The average person makes 35,000 choices in a single day.  Our organizations name is based on the belief that our individual situations do not limit our choices – although we may not always be aware of all the choices available to us.  We each possess the power to choose how we act or react when it comes to seemingly overwhelming life events.  At Choices Counseling and Coaching, we partner with you to help uncover all of the life choices available to you – and discover how to make the best of them.

You’ll find that our offices are quite cozy and welcoming.  We hold our therapy sessions in private rooms with soft lighting, comfortable couches and oversized chairs.  Choices Counseling and Coaching is conveniently located on the second floor of the Wintrust building on the south west corner of Roosevelt Road and Main Street in Glen Ellyn.

We also offer telemental health sessions through HIPAA compliant, confidential platforms that allow you to have a session with your therapist in the comfort of your home or office.  For more information on telehealth sessions please click here.

At Choices, our counselors and coaches are dedicated to helping you make the most of the decisions you face every day. One of the important steps in counseling and coaching is establishing your goals.  Together we will develop an individual counseling plan that includes the methods for achieving your goals,  the risks and benefits of various treatments, the  approximate time commitment involved, expected costs, and any other aspects of your situation that you wish to include.

Counseling and Coaching

Often used in tandem, counseling and coaching are different ways of approaching issues that arise. All of our therapists are professionally trained as both counselors and coaches to ensure you have the full support you need. We will offer you guidance every step of the way, but please know that both counseling and coaching require active involvement and direct effort on your part to reshape the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors necessary for growth. There are no instant, painless, or passive cures. More often than not, resolving difficult issues requires a commitment to addressing them both in and outside our sessions together.

Everyone needs someone to talk to sometimes

And in today’s mobile society, traditional support systems often go missing.  You may benefit from the guidance of a therapist if:

  • You feel like you can’t do it alone

  • You worry all the time and never seem to find the answers

  • The way you feel affects your sleep, your eating habits, your job, or your relationships

  • You seek balance in your work, family, and spiritual life

  • You feel tired, stuck, bored, or unfulfilled

  • You are in the middle of a major life transition (career change, divorce, etc.)

  • It feels like it’s just not getting any better
